Gulmarg Ski Academy launches unique ski programs for upcoming winter season

 

Gulmarg Ski Academy launches unique Ski programs for the upcoming winter season. These programs are specially curated by the GSA team while maintaining the utmost safety standards Pandemic has hit the tourism industry hard, but a sound revival of the industry is seen.
Hardly 3% of the population know about skiing in India. There was an ardent need for creating awareness about winter sports. Gulmarg is the world’s 3rd best slope for snow sports and also boasts of Asia’s highest Ski lift. To spread awareness regarding the same and bring Indian adventure enthusiasts to Gulmarg for winter sports, the institution offers a range of courses and events.

On the occasion of the launch, Maria Samuel, who is the CEO of Gulmarg Ski Academy said, “The main reason behind starting a Ski academy in Gulmarg is to re-introduce winter sports – Skiing & Snowboarding in India, while also providing the guests with fun and leisure activities. With our experienced coaching team sound curriculum for training in skiing and snowboarding. This will bring in a new lease of life to tourism in Kashmir and especially Gulmarg.”

This year however considering the pandemic times GSA programs are planned considering the norms that one needs to follow and adhere to keeping oneself and one’s family safe from Covid. The program commences from 26 Th December to end of March in different batches. Packages offered are tailor-made and are inclusive of local transportation, stay, food, ski goods and training. Most important all necessary precautions being taken care of. The highlight of the program we are looking at a group of only 24 people max considering social distancing. Each week will be curated as per the People in the group making it more of experience leisure and learning something new.
Gulmarg Ski Academy offers to serve schools, corporates to bring about diversification in their curriculum and offsite destinations.
With regards to security GSA has the right support from the local administration as well as the government.

Gulmarg Ski Academy is working with the objective to reach out to 10,000 students each year and make skiing a popular sport among children. With the right backing from the Government and Central Kashmir University is well equipped to provide state of the art training. They seemed very well aligned to meet their desired objectives.
