Dream Cruises’ Explorer Dream recognised in Cruise Critic’s 2020 Cruisers’ Choice Awards
Dream Cruises continues to add to its list of accolades and honours from the most respected and prestigious tourism, media and industry authorities from around the world. Since Dream Cruises began operations with Genting Dream in 2016, the cruise line has amassed nearly 80 awards and titles including, recently, top 10 ratings for Genting Dream and World Dream in the Berlitz Cruising and Cruise Ships 2020, Best Cruise Line for Cuisine, Entertainment and Family at the Travel Weekly Asia 2019 Readers’ Choice Awards and Best Ship Refurbishment: Explorer Dream at the 2019 Cruise Critic Australia Editors’ Picks Awards among others.
Dream Cruises now celebrates new honours from Cruise Critic, the world’s leading cruise review site, as they announced the winners of their 10th Annual Cruisers’ Choice Awards. The awards name the world’s most popular cruise ships, based entirely on reviews posted to the Cruise Critic website over the past year. The site boasts the largest online cruise community with more than 50 million opinions, reviews and photos. Dream Cruises was recognised as one of the world’s best, winning ‘Explorer Dream – Best Entertainment (Mid-Sized Category)’.
On the news of receiving the award, Michael Goh, President of Dream Cruises and Head of International Sales, Genting Cruise Lines said, “This was the very first deployment in Australia for Dream Cruises. That Explorer Dream has been recognised as having the best entertainment at sea is both an excellent achievement and truly heartwarming.” “We are greatly honoured by this recognition from our passengers and the Cruise Critic community. We look forward to returning to Australia and New Zealand in future so we can dazzle our guests once again with more spectacular entertainment and our award-winning cruise experience.”
Colleen McDaniel, Editor-in-Chief of Cruise Critic explains, “Our Cruisers’ Choice Awards have been a well-respected seal of approval for the past 10 years, due to the fact that they’re representative of true experiences from travellers themselves. They highlight the best of the best — cruise ships and lines – that truly stand out as having offered incredible vacations. While this is a unique year for the travel industry, it’s important to recognise the exemplary experiences that the cruise industry delivers. Cruising is a beloved form of travel, and there’s a reason cruisers are eager to return to the sea once they’re able.”
