Cruisin’ Cairns with Mithila Palkar:
Who doesn’t know Mithila Palkar? The vibrant yet relatable girl next door. If like us you’re obsessed with her vivacious and picturesque Instagram feed you’d know Mithila visited Australia earlier this year and you’d be lying if you said you didn’t feel a teeny bit jealous. Fret not; we are here to tell you that you can have her dream vacation too!
If like Mithila your idea of the perfect getaway is the tranquil oceanside and lush wildlife, then Cairns is the perfect fitment for you. For an idyllic tropical getaway, Mithila recommends a day trip to the ancient and picturesque Kuranda village, which is situated in the thick of the world’s oldest living tropical rainforest – Wet Tropics Rainforest. It is best reached by a scenic ride in the gondolas of the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway that glide over the canopy, allowing you to take in the sights, sounds and smells of this majestic rainforest. With her trip ending, Mithila was sure to not miss a visit to the Great Barrier Reef, where she explored the depths of the crystal clear waters. So if you are missing the outdoors and your travel style is akin to Mithila’s then be sure to put Cairns on your bucket list!
The Mohan sisters strike Gold (Coast):
If you have always wanted an all-girls getaway like in Spring Breakers or are planning a Hollywood inspired pre-wedding bachelorette party for your ‘bff’, then look no further than the vivacious Mohan sisters for inspiration!
Bring your girls to the Gold Coast, which is better known as the ‘theme park capital of Australia’. This place has so much more to offer than just sun, sand and surf – although there is plenty of that too!
The Mohan trio of Neeti, Shakti and Mukti, took on the sunny Gold Coast and had a blast. They kickstarted their adventure with a hot air balloon ride over the vast expanses of the Gold Coast hinterland. Followed by getting their adrenaline pumping through SkyPoint Climb, and indoor skydiving at iFLY Gold Coast.
You can always count on this terrific trio to lead you to the fun, so like them we suggest you make a spirited stop to the Warner Bros. Movie World theme park and conclude your trip with a wholesome visit with some of Australia’s most unique wildlife at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. You can thank us later.
Marvelous Melbourne with Mandira:
A veteran of cool, Mandira Bedi and the locales of Melbourne, one of Australia’s hippest cities, are a match made in heaven! The city is known for its robust outdoor experiences and is a haven for fitness enthusiasts alike, making activities like kayaking down the Yarra River against the sun-kissed backdrop, a must-do for Mandira.
Seeker of all things trendy, Mandira’s recommended way to tour the city is on the back of a Harley Davidson, a great way to get acquainted with the Melbourne way of life, before setting off on foot to explore the famous graffiti-laden alleys and laneways. Just like her, you too can take in sublime views of the Melbourne skyline from The Edge at the Eureka Sky deck, a glass cube that projects out of the building, close to 300 meters from the ground!
Day Tripping with Mithali Raj in Perth:
During her time off the field, India’s national cricket team captain and pioneering athlete, Mithali Raj has a penchant for exploring the countries in which she’s playing and having spent a considerable time Down Under, in the lead-up to the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, she has a particular sweet spot for the perpetually sunny city of Perth. Home to some of Australia’s most famous sporting landmarks, live a day in the life of a record breaking Indian cricket captain and feed your cricket hunger by stadium hopping or day long tours at the legendary WACA and Optus Stadiums. ‘Wind down’ for the day the Mithali way, with an equally exciting a trip to Caversham Wildlife Park where you will be greeted in person by kangaroos and don’t forget to befriend a koala, too!
Taking a sojourn from the bustling city, Rottnest Island, just off the coast of Perth, is where Mithali couldn’t resist snapping a few selfies with a quokka, a tiny and Instagram famous native marsupial. Rottnest Island makes for an unbeatable day trip and is home to an abundance of beaches, wildlife, walking trails, and golf courses. Uniquely, there are no cars on the island, so, follow Mithali’s lead and ditch convention by opting for a guided Segway tour, a great way to get a lay of the land!
