DTORR conducts Association Education Workshop 2019 for associations to learn and network
Exchange of knowledge and experience empowers a community or industry. The constant exchange of notes and a strong connection is a must for every industry, even for associations. Today, there are many associations in India, what they lack is a platform to come together to network, exchange notes and learn from each other.
DTORR’s latest event ‘Association Education Workshop – 2019’ addresses this gap and ensures that these associations built up a strong inter-industry communication channel for a seamless transfer of knowledge and information. The workshop held at the Novotel Hotel, Hyderabad International Convention Centre, HITEC City, Hyderabad in September. The event was attended associations from the state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and had renowned guests, Harsh Jaitli, CEO, VANI; Dr Shahaida, Professor, Administrative Staff College of India; Srikanth Badiga, Chairperson, Indo American Chamber of Commerce; Amelia Folkema from Union of International Association – Belgium; K Bhaskar Reddy, Vice President, The Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry among others.
The event was interesting and engaging as a lot about associations’ present, future possibilities and challenges were discussed among panellists. Some of the topics discussed were Good Governance for Non-Profit Industry Growth, Opportunities to go from Local to Global and Education for the Future Workforce of the Non-Profit Industry. Panellists exchanged ideas and discussed how to help associations come together and grow effortlessly.
“This was one of the first associations’ events in India and it was exciting. On an international level, we have such events where associations come together for an exchange of ideas and knowledge, and network. It is applauding to see how there was an interest to learn and network. It is a great start where associations were introduced to experts and learned a lot from them. We look forward to a lot of such events in the future,” said Amelia Folkema, Union of International Association – Belgium.
“It was quite an interesting and engaging event. We got a chance to meet a lot of associations working on various causes and involved with a lot of activities, which otherwise was not possible. We look forward to attending such events in the future,” said Swati Mohanty, CSR & Liasoning Officer – Ambassador of Goodwill For AIDS Patients Everywhere Society (AGAPE Society). Ramakrishna Vemuri, Regional Director of Telangana and AP at the Institute of Directors said, “It is a great initiative to bring in various associations on a common platform and educate them about various aspects that make an association successful.”
Vikas Tembhare, Managing Partner of DRTORR quote from RIGVEDA, “Let Us Be Together, Let us interact together and many our minds comprehend together. The primary agenda of the Association Education Workshop was to bring the non-profit industry’s workforce together on one platform for exchanging knowledge and networking. This was our first event in India and we had a huge response. We would try to repeat it in different parts of India for the Industry. We would like to thank all of our partners for their support.”
