Bali is the favourite summer destination for Indians, says report by Shoes on Loose

Shoes on Loose has recently unveiled its report on the most desired destinations by Indians for the summer holidays. The report reveals that the tropical island of Bali tops the list, followed by Maldives, Europe, Dubai and Ladakh. The favourable summer weather, Bali’s diverse tourism opportunities, wide appeal to every kind of traveller as well as affordable luxury makes it a hot favourite among Indians. The survey was based on data on Shoes on Loose’s analysis of customer inquiries for summer vacations made between January to June, 2019.

Commenting on the report, Mohit Poddar, Founder & CEO, Shoes on Loose said, “We have witnessed the scenario that more and more Indians are travelling abroad today than ever before, and are keen to explore even off-beat destinations, including few in India. The willingness among Indians to explore off-the-beaten destinations has resulted in many of these spots becoming increasingly keen on wooing the Indian traveller,”

The Maldives is also catching up as a favourite destination for Indian travellers, especially couples because of various reasons like direct flights, lucrative offers by new hotels for the Indian market, etc. In fact, a new concept of ‘Crossroads’ is also propelling the destination as until now, the Maldives was just a Luxury getaway for people but with this new concept, it will have shopping as a major attraction.

Europe has secured the third position as one of the dream destinations for tourists in India. Dubai is emerging as a major destination for shopaholics, the survey said. During summers, one gets to explore a lot of attractions while staying at luxury hotels at a reasonable price. Dubai offers a great time for an affordable luxury holiday, especially for families who want to explore resorts and attractions.

Lastly, Ladakh has become one of the most popular summer getaways post the Bollywood movie, 3 Idiots and subsequent focus on the destination by bloggers. Ladakh has a lot to offer to adventurous photographers and families from grade trekking options to experiential spaces.
