India updates travel advisory for travelling to Sri Lanka


Ministry of External Affairs, India has announced that its travel advisory on Sri Lanka has been scaled down given that national security is stable and the country is returning to normalcy.

An official release stated, “Security situation in Sri Lanka is gradually returning to normal with the lifting of curfew & restrictions on social media and the opening of schools. Indian nationals travelling to Sri Lanka are advised to be careful and vigilant. Indian nationals requiring any assistance can get in touch round the clock with our High Commission in Colombo, Assistant High Commission in Kandy and Consulates in Jaffna and Hambantota.”
