Saudi Arabia joins hands with Agoda to promote Hajj and Umrah travel online

With Saudi’s vision of 2030 to welcome more than 30 million pilgrims, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with online travel agency (OTA) Agoda to utilise its technology, platform for marketing and travel expertise to achieve the feat.

The agreement which was signed between H.E. Dr Mohammad Saleh bin Taher Benten, the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah and in the presence of Damien Pfirsch, VP Strategic Partnerships and Programs, Agoda during a ceremony in the office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

With the agreement, Hajj and Umrah guests to Saudi Arabia can book the hotel room with the help of Agoda portal which has been certified by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

The Saudi Vision 2030, announced in 2016, aims to welcome 15 million Hajj and Umrah travellers annually by 2020 and 30 million by 2030.
