Three-city Brand USA sales mission to be held in September
Brand USA is preparing for its seventh annual sales mission to India which is set for September 23-28, this year aimed at influencing the Indian residents to choose the US as their next travel destination.
It also seeks to educate the India travel trade based out of Mumbai, New Delhi and Bengaluru about the endless travel opportunities available for their clients.
Chris Thompson, President and Chief Executive Officer, Brand USA highlighted, “With 1.17 million visitors in 2016, India was the 11th highest ranked country by arrival numbers. In visitor spending, however, India ranked sixth, higher than several countries with greater arrival numbers to the US.”
“The tourism potential of new age India is huge and our endeavour is to continue promoting the unparalleled tourism offerings of the United States to this stratum of discerning travellers,” said Sheema Vohra, Brand USA’s Managing Director in India.
The US and Indian governments jointly declared 2017 as a “US and India Travel and Tourism Partnership Year” to promote bilateral tourism. Leveraging it further, the 2018 sales mission will be organised with an aim to bring even more opportunities to meet with top travel buyers.
