UPSRTC and RSRTC sign MoU to boost Religious Tourism development

In order to boost Religious Tourism, the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) and Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Lucknow.

As per the MoU, places like Mathura, Vrindavan, Haridwar, Rupaidiha, Allahabad, Varanasi, Ayodhya in UP will be easily connected to Ajmer, Alwar, Jaipur, Ganganagar, Jodhpur, Kota, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Sawai Madhopur, Madhopur, Vanasthali, Bikaner of Rajasthan.

As per the signed MoU, the UPSRTC will cover 56,774 km every day in Rajasthan, while RSRTC will cover 56,558 km in UP. Earlier it was 34,676 and 34,256, respectively.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, said, “The agreement will help scores of tourists of Rajasthan and other states to visit ancient cities of UP. Recently, we also had a talk with the Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari to provide better facility for the pilgrims who visit Vrindavan for the parikrama of Govardhan parvat.”
