Belgian tourism

The Belgian travel and tourism sector witnessed a prime growth in the past four to five years and is continuing its performance, says a report on Belgium’s travel industry. There is an increase in the number of tourists in both the domestic and international front.

The increase in promotional package, new destinations in the tourism manual and an increase in the number of international flights has resulted in a better tourism structure, the report says.

According to the report, the most-visited provinces in Belgium are West Vlaanderen, Limburg (BE) and Antwerpen. And the most-visited tourist spots are an open-air museum in Bokrijk, the Alden Biesen Castle in Bilzen and the Beguinage in Tongeren.
