Oman Tourism has unveiled a dynamic and interactive campaign in India to coincide with the launch of the Bollywood star-studded movie ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara’, which is shot in the country.

The campaign highlights Oman’s attractions to the Indian audience – its close proximity, the opulence and luxury, as well as its appeal to families and adventure tourists.

“Oman has modern cityscapes along with old world charm and opulence, which we felt suited our requirements perfectly,” Director Milan Luthria said, talking about his reasons for choosing Oman as a filming destination. “Oman also offers a lot of stunning unexplored and diverse landscapes.”

As part of the campaign, a competition will be running across social media platforms, as well as traditional media, with the chance to win two Business Class air tickets on Oman Air,  three nights/ four days stay at the luxurious Shangri La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa and local sightseeing by Tour Oman in Muscat.

The contest can be participated through Oman Tourism India/ Facebook page and through a leading radio channel, Radio City in select cities and has already received a good response.

“We have received an overwhelming response to the online contest with over 1,000 entries already, which clearly indicates that Indians are keen to visit an unexplored destination like Oman,” Lubaina Sheerazi, India Representative, Ministry of Tourism, Sultanate of Oman said,.
