Cox & Kings Global Services (CKGS) has been empanelled by the Royal Thai Embassy in Delhi and the consulates in Chennai and Kolkata to expand Thailand Visa Application & Processing Centres across the country.
Mumbai was the first Indian city which saw the inauguration of the Thai Visa Application Centre. The new centres located in New Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata are operational now. In the next phase of operations, offices will be open in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities that have huge traffic from India to Thailand.
The service is open to customers and travel agents/tour operators as well as those wanting a transit or non-immigrant visa to Thailand.
Venku Murthi, Chief Operating Officer, CKGS, highlighting their expansion plans cited, “The expansion of our services on an All-India level is an affirmation of the confidence that the Thai government has in CKGS and we will maintain our professional standards as we move to other locations in India to boost Thailand tourism.’’
CKGS will provide services such as dissemination of visa related information which is to be approved by the Thai Embassy and its consulates, a detailed inspection of all the documents and acceptance of visa application and passports from the general public and travel agents.
India is ranked sixth in terms of tourist arrivals in Thailand and continues to attract a large number of Indian tourists as more route of direct flights from different locations in both the countries commences. Thailand is a popular holiday, MICE and wedding destination for Indians and as per latest reports, it has registered a 15% growth in Indian tourist arrivals in the first half of 2017.
