In a drive to attract tourists from Brazil, Russia, India, China, Chile and Argentina, Europe has launched its ‘Whenever You’re Ready’ campaign, highlighting the cultural and historical heritage of the continent.
The campaign is financed by the European Commission and organised in partnership with the European Travel Commission (ETC).
Renowned travel writers, journalists and bloggers have contributed to the campaign, which aims to play up Europe’s unmissable attractions, as well as alternative sights off the beaten track.
“Thematic packages and itineraries, covering all four corners of the EU, are available,” European Commission Vice President Antonio Tajani said. “These include pan-EU and regional tours on religious, cultural heritage and gastronomic themes – such as wine and olive oil routes – and tailored packages incorporating historic and natural UNESCO sites.”
