Indian Railways and MoT to modernise 24 railway stations

Indian Railways in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism (MoT) is set to improve passenger amenities at 24 identified railway stations. The upgradation costs will be jointly shared by the two organisations and the priority of work for modernisation of amenities is due to be decided.

The stations identified are Hyderabad, Tirupati, Hospet, Agra Cantt; Rae Bareli, Varanasi, Delhi Sufdarjung, Kamakhya, Guwahati, Haridwar, Kurukshetra, Gaya, Madurai, Rameshwaram, Tarapith, Tarakeshwar, New Jalpaiguri, Thiruvananthapuram, Amritsar, Aurangabad, Nanded, Puri, Jaipur and Ajmer.
