Indian passport holders exempted from Airport Transit Visas in France

As of July 23, Indian passport holders no longer require an Airport Transit Visa while transiting in France

This announcement was made by the Ambassador of France to India, H.E. Alexandre Ziegler, on Twitter on July 17. “I’m pleased to announce that, with effect from July 23, 2018, holders of Indian passports will no longer require an Airport Transit Visa (ATV) while transiting through the international zone of any airport in France #ChooseFrance,” tweeted Ambassador Ziegler.

France forms part of the Schengen Area comprising 26 European States. In India, the Embassy of France is located in New Delhi and has 4 Consulates General in the cities of Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata and Puducherry/Chennai.
