Austrian hotel brand – Sacher comprises two properties each in Vienna and Salzburg in the Central European nation, both of which are members of Leading Hotels of The World (LHW). To promote their privately-owned and family-run property in both the destinations, Sacher Hotels appointed Ishvinder Maddh, Managing Director Robinville Intech as their India Representative and recently visited the Indian market to leverage the luxury Indian traveller and Non-Resident Indians from London, Dubai and New York.
Hotel Sacher Vienna has played host to Indira Gandhi, Queen Elizabeth II and John F. Kennedy. The property currently features 150 rooms and suites and seven new suites have been added in December last year. 111-keys Hotel Sacher Salzburg is the epitome of the unique Sacher philosophy and the fusion of tradition and modern luxury comfort.
Both the hotels are ideal to cater to the incentive and special occasion business from India. Groups can exclusively book the Marble Hall in Hotel Sacher Vienna and Winter Garden in Hotel Sacher Salzburg perfect to host 100-150 people. Over 200 scenic venues including palaces, museums, Imperial Palace and the Opera House, etc. can be booked privately for hosting events.
Two years ago, Vienna witnessed a big fat Indian wedding followed by another one. Since then the brand realised that Vienna could serve as a hotspot for hosting Indian weddings and special occasion business. Sacher Hotels are already seeing business coming in from the Indian market and has realised that the potential is huge. Going forward, we are looking at marketing activities in India together with LHW, our India Representative and the Austria National Tourist Office, confirmed Peter Zwickl, Director of Sales, Hotel Sacher Vienna and Salzburg.
“With Sacher, guests will always find ‘Yes’ as an answer. Personalisation is the key to our business and we offer bespoke experiences to make our guests feel special. We pride ourselves on offering the highest quality, complete attention to detail and exceptional service with a personal touch. The name Sacher run by the Gürtler/Winkler family has always stood for exclusivity, quality and Viennese charm. In our confiserie, guests can choose from a wide range of exclusive Original Sacher products, including the world-famous Original Sacher-Torte,” he added.
Talking about the marketing strategies, Madh added, “The Sacher Hotels also assure the availability of Indian food on demand. In Salzburg, there is already a partner restaurant which is referred to the Indian guests. To enhance the awareness about the hotel brand, as a B2B representation company we’re meeting trade partners pan India on a continuous basis.”
