Luxury Hotels Group recently opened its India office in New Delhi with an aim to extend its global hospitality marketing and distribution network. Naresh Chandnani has been given the role of Regional Director-Asia. Chandani with his vast experience of 25 years in the hospitality industry possess extensive knowledge of Indian leisure, Corporate and MICE markets. A widely travelled man, he was ranked as amongst the ‘100 most influential people’ in the Indian Hospitality Industry for 2013 by the prestigious Hotelier India magazine.
“Opening a dedicated office in India is significant step to support a fast-growing global network of hotels, as we continue to expand worldwide,” said Mark Jones, Vice President, Luxury Hotels Group. “We would be looking at getting luxury hotels from India, on board the LHG platform, which undoubtedly would enrich the hotel’s own identity and provide exposure to new markets that would be otherwise unreachable and unaffordable. Naresh with his in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Indian market is the ideal person for this role.”
Naresh Chandnani said, “I am delighted to be on board and look forward to establishing the group’s presence in India. The Indian market is a mature yet price sensitive. Our product is very competitive; the hotels will see good value in our offering in terms of the brand and the benefits we deliver.”
