Alkhuddam, a Kashmir based leading tour and travel service operator, is holding a two-day tourism conclave in Srinagar on May 13 and May 14. Alkhuddam Kashmir Tourism Conclave (AKTC) would be first such initiative by a private company in Srinagar.

The two day event, which is themed as ‘Delivering Excellence’ will see focused panel discussions, special presentations and the seminar on the various aspects of tourism.

“The conclave will create opportunities for delegates to interact with leading experts and tourism practitioners who will explore how Kashmir can enhance destination sustainability and competitiveness in the current global environment,” said the conclave backgrounder prepared by Alkhuddam.

It is also revealed that the themes of the conclave include tourism, competitiveness and societal prosperity; environmental management of tourist destinations; promoting tourism brand; quality, satisfaction and behavioral intentions.

Apart from these the themes also include the role of transport infrastructure in J&K tourism development; heritage and cultural tourism; medical tourism etc.

Around 500 delegates from J&K and other regions of India are expected to attend the Conclave. Besides, there will be a large participation of VIPs, ministers and government officials, including Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister of J&K, heads of national tourism bodies and national trade associations such as FICCI, CII, ASSOCHAM, TAAI, TAFI, IATO and ADTOI.
